So . . . It Has Come to This

Good Morning!

I have returned home from my mission a little earlier than expected. There are some things I need to take care of, which I was unable to accomplish in the mission field. I am not entirely certain how long I will be home, my goal is to be back out in two or three months, but we'll see. My Stake President and I are working together to send me back out as soon as reasonably possible.

Coming home wasn't fun or easy. I knew about this a couple weeks ago, had some time to pack my things, enjoyed Christmas and a baptism in Mt. Pleasant, and then flew home Monday morning. I sent last week's email from the DFW Airport. However, I have found contentment in knowing that, even though I feel a little out of place here at home, I know it's where I need to be, at least for a time.

Besides getting to watch all the extended Lord of the Rings movies with my family, I do have some personal goals to still 'feel' like a missionary. I'm trying to stick to a consistent sleeping schedule, and remain invested in the scriptures and other gospel sources. One opportunity I have is to assist my family more in their endeavors at our buffalo ranch, so I've stayed busy that way. I may do a bit of writing, but there won't be any large projects I plan to start (or continue) until I've served my two years.

A lot of this may not make sense to some of you, that's perfectly fine. Sometimes missionaries do get sent home, and the reasons are different for every situation. Yes, I can (and plan to) return, as swiftly as possible. If you have a question about all this you can ask, and I'll respond when I see it. Just know that I can't discuss all the details; if I could I would have said them here.

I appreciate everyone's support, even taking the time out of your day to read my emails means a lot. Remember to read your scriptures and pray to Heavenly Father. Satan is working overtime on us Christians, doing those simple things will help fortify yourself and your home from his attacks.

Stay positive during this New Year, great things are in store!
