Singular, Sacred & Spiritual

Image
Good Morning! We are still witnessing success on campus, the Visitors' Center is literally the most amazing place to hold lessons ever, and Christmas happened! I sought a singular, sacred, spiritual experience this past week and had many. I love my Heavenly Father, and I love His Son, Jesus Christ, too. Both are amazing, I've experienced God's love many times this past week and grown closer to my Savior than I've been in a while. You could say it's been a fantastic week!  Today during our Preparation Day, we held a Zone Christmas Gathering (really just a party) at the Institute building. Elder Koyle and I, plus some other Elders, set up for it and we hung out and played for about 4 hours, and did a white elephant! I ended up with a tin of Danish butter cookies. Those things are delicious. Later we played some games with other Elders and then some pickleball, where a couple of the Sisters came and joined the adventure! I had a lot of fun today, it was pretty refreshi

Promptings of the Spirit

Good Morning! Despite campus being absolutely devoid of students, Elder Koyle and I found a few successes this week! We met with two of our friends, Deagan and Zaylie. During both their lessons on Friday, Elder Koyle and I procured a paper calendar to schedule their baptism! Zaylie wasn't certain on any date, so we held a discussion with her, selected a date for her baptism (January 14th), and then plotted everything that needed to happen beforehand! She's super excited and ready. For Deagan we did the same thing, only he wanted to move his date (originally for January 21st) back even farther! So we held a discussion with him and moved his date forward to January 7th! God is awesome, the church is true, the Spirit is very real.  Another huge success was that many of our friends came to church! We spoke in two different wards on Sunday, and three of our friends were able to listen to us speak! Elder Koyle and I chose to focus our thoughts on Jesus Christ and the difference he

Guide Me Lord

Good Morning! After an exciting Preparation Day, I didn't think the day could get much better. Then we met with one of our friends named Nicolai! He was scheduled to be baptized on December 3rd, but he didn't quite feel ready so we decided to postpone. During our meeting on Monday we held a long discussion on Ether chapters 2 and 3, and discussed how the Lord asks us to act in faith as we expect answers from him. With that, Nicolai decided that he was ready, so we planned to baptize him on December 10th! We planned the baptism in five days and Nicolai was confirmed on Sunday! I'm so excited for him, he's so ready to progress in the gospel.  Sent only a couple missionaries home last transfer, but had to take some photos with the ones departing before they're gone. It's astounding how good of a relationship you can build with someone in just a short amount of time. We took Elder Blake out after transfer day and spent some time with him. He is excellent at follow

The Next Chapter

Good Morning! This has been an eventful week. I went on 4 exchanges, and we blitzed another area for a couple hours. Essentially, lots of work in other areas on my end, but it was good! The week vanished on me, and so did the transfer! I'll be staying in the St. George YSA 1st Stake with Elder Koyle, both of which are miracles in themselves. Elder Koyle will be my longest companion, and first companion to last longer than a transfer with! I'm impressed and excited for this coming transfer. We ended last transfer on a good note! Our friend Aaliyah was baptized last Saturday, and I confirmed her at church the following day! She sought us out, it's amazing to see her faith blossom as she's learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ. She's already trying to make her Catholic friends meet with us! She's the best.  I rode bikes again. Enjoyable as always! One note about the exchanges: I've come to enjoy visiting other areas and helping them work at their problems. I
