Promptings of the Spirit

Good Morning!

Despite campus being absolutely devoid of students, Elder Koyle and I found a few successes this week! We met with two of our friends, Deagan and Zaylie. During both their lessons on Friday, Elder Koyle and I procured a paper calendar to schedule their baptism! Zaylie wasn't certain on any date, so we held a discussion with her, selected a date for her baptism (January 14th), and then plotted everything that needed to happen beforehand! She's super excited and ready. For Deagan we did the same thing, only he wanted to move his date (originally for January 21st) back even farther! So we held a discussion with him and moved his date forward to January 7th! God is awesome, the church is true, the Spirit is very real.

Another huge success was that many of our friends came to church! We spoke in two different wards on Sunday, and three of our friends were able to listen to us speak! Elder Koyle and I chose to focus our thoughts on Jesus Christ and the difference he's made in our lives, which was the perfect message! Everyone who came was touched by the Spirit.

The Spirit is super important. One of his biggest jobs is to testify of and teach truth. Elder Pearson mentioned some unique ways the Spirit can be felt, or can manifest himself.

- The Spirit can bring us increased confidence.
- He can help us understand another person better than you otherwise would have.
- The Spirit helps us learn while we teach.

I've seen the Spirit touch me in these ways, especially over the past week. I'm learning more, understanding others better, and growing more confident with the Spirits encouragement.

I'm going to attach the audio for my talk below. One thing I emphasized was for everyone to seek their own singular, sacred, spiritual experience this coming week in preparation for Christmas Sunday. I am seeking this own experience in my life. Perhaps an enlarged understanding of the Spirit, from some of the examples above, will help you recognize this experience.

So seek for it. Pray for it. Work for it. And listen to the talk below. It'll provide some motivation and convey the Spirit much better than I can here.

What is the Holy Ghost prompting you to do to receive your sacred, singular spiritual experience?

Merry Christmas!
