Focus on the Covenant Relationship

Good Morning! There are now two dedicated temples in the Utah, St. George Mission! The Red Cliffs Temple Dedication yesterday makes St. George the only city to ever have the oldest and newest active temples in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love that little fact.  I had the privilege of attending the Manti Temple Open House on Tuesday. It was a beautiful temple, I loved the murals and all the intricacies in the design. It was a beautiful place to be, and I got to go through with all the Elders in the mission! That made it even more special.  One thing our guide shared at the start of the tour stood out to me. He said that "Today, we are only presenting the box. What really matters is how the ordinances inside bring us closer to Christ." That's a loose quote, but I loved the ideas behind it. A Friendly Reminder

Good Morning! I wish this week wasn't over yet, but it's already come and gone. Nevertheless, this has been a powerful kick off into an astounding March! We did go on exchanges with the Elders in the Enoch West area. I was with Elder Eddie, and it was really good to connect again. I enjoyed our time together, including a powerful miracle! They've been working with one of their friends, but he couldn't be baptized a couple weeks ago because the mom ended up having a baby around that time. So they were patient and worked to reschedule his baptism. However, we visit him on Thursday last week hoping to set a day that will work for their family. As we start talking, this kid asks us if he can be baptized tomorrow! We knew Friday wouldn't work, but he wasn't having it. He made a strong push for Saturday, and his grandmother checked their schedule and said it would work! Then Elder Eddie starts texting people and I do a quick baptismal interview for him. Key Indicators for Conversion

Good Morning! I started the week feeling good that it was only Wednesday and the week wasn't over. Then it was Friday, then General Conference was almost over, and today is Monday. I'll stop discussing how time flies, but I feel it's appropriate that God lets each day feel long, yet the week vanish. I'm grateful for every second I still have as a missionary. What I want to share today is a bunch of statistics from my missionary experiences. As missionaries we utilize statistics, titled "Key Indicators for Converson" to measure our friends' progress and our commitment to spreading the gospel. Low key indicators don't the inherent worth of a missionary, just as high key indicators don't elevate one to a different status than another. These key indicators help us know where we are succeeding, and what we can do to improve. There's a lot one can learn from them, but the driving factor for missionary efforts is the conversion and covenant commitment...
