A God of Miracles

Good Morning!

This week I have continued to witness how the Lord can do His own work. He merely allows me to be a part of the process.

Jack, our YSA friend, is progressing pretty well! We had two beautiful lessons with him this past week. We tried to set a plan for baptism in both of them, but no luck so far. He's not ready yet, but that's okay. The miracle with him is that he will live in Ephraim over the next semester or so! He could've moved to Manti, or Fairview, or literally anywhere else. But he's still in our area. God shows His love for us in mysterious ways!

On Sunday we attended a sacrament meeting for some senior citizens, some of whom were over 100 years old! During the meeting, the gentleman presiding invited my companion and I to speak for a couple brief seconds and introduce ourselves. I took the opportunity to share a small portion of my testimony concerning Jesus Christ.

I have learned to always testify of Jesus Christ. Most days I need serious improvement. On other days I do better, but it's a process. It's one of my goals to testify more of the Savior, and I'd say it's working some. It was a special feel to share my testimony with some people who've lived for quite a long time. They were all super sweet, everybody wanted to shake our hands and comment on how young we were!

Here is my favorite miracle from this week. Sunday evening we spent two hours (5pm - 7pm) with no success. I'd been losing faith and expecting it to be another standard day in Ephraim; without finding a new friend. I prayed in my heart for more faith to witness a miracle.

God provided. We visited an elderly lady who probably had no potential. We were accurate in that assumption, because she had moved. In her place was a young couple who've been through some things in life. Some of those experiences meant they wanted little to do with the church. But then Binley walked to the door.

Binley is a 10 year old boy who loves the idea of church. His mother is supportive, and his step-dad has acknowledged that he has no legal say in keeping Binley back from learning for himself. That's the first time since November 2021 (since I started my mission) that I've ever heard a parental figure say something like that!

Because Binley's mother is supportive, we have begun his teaching process. I love this kid already, he's going to do great in the gospel! The Lord works miracles in the mission field. Every time I doubt, there's always another Binley.

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. He has changed who I am and continues to shape my future and divine identity. He is my reason for serving. He is my support, the Lamb who gave all so that I might partake of the bounteous blessings of my Father. I love Jesus Christ with all my heart, and strive to follow Him in everything I do.
